Poetry is everywhere! Your favorite song lyrics have poetic elements in them. For this activity, you will choose one of your favorite songs with appropriate lyrics and analyze it on your wiki. You will need to do the following:
1. Choose a song and copy and paste the lyrics to your page. 2. Put a video of the song online. (You will have to do this part at home) 3. Read the lyrics MORE THAN ONCE and use the 11 suggestions for reading poetry to help you analyze the poem. 4. Answer the following questions in paragraph form. - What is the song about and what is the significance of the title? (1 paragraph) - Explain the meaning of the song. Is there a message that the singer/songwriter is trying to convey? Point out specific words and phrases that led you to your conclusion. (at least 2 LARGE paragraphs) - What makes the song poetry?
